VACANCY Drilling Professionals Vacancy - Abu Dhabi (UAE)SEPT-OCT 2011





UAE State oil company currently having several vacant position for its drilling team.
General Job Description:
  • Responsible for gathering and loading all necessary equipment, materials and parts for each job.
  • Responsible for making any necessary repairs to equipment, re-stocking parts and materials at the completion of each job.
  • Responsible for on-the-job, day-to-day safety of crew members.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of well down hole configurations and characteristics.
  • Responsible for making certain decisions on well conditions.
  • Knowledge of running and pulling tools as well as ability to fish tools from well.
  • Responsible for accurately setting and retrieving Wireline plugs.
  • Responsible for assisting crew members during plug and abandonment operations.
  • Performs other Slickline duties as assigned.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Must have at least 5+ years in-depth Slickline experience.
  • Must hold supporting educational and training certification.
  • Organized and detail oriented and posses the ability to analyze and resolve any problems that arise at the wellsite.
  • Valid safety training is an advantage.
 
The current vacant positions are:
Rig Managers/Assistant Manager (Offshore)
  • Prefers college graduate, secondary or high school attainment is acceptable.
  • With Valid IWCF Certification.
  • 10 - 15 years' experience onshore oil rig drilling operations, including 5 years as Toolpusher/Night Pusher.
  • Computer literate, robust health and below 50 years of age.
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English.

Driller/Assistant Driller (Offshore)
  • Prefers college graduate, secondary or high school attainment is acceptable.
  • 5-8 years' experience, Valid IWCF.
  • Supervise and carry out the drilling and other work in connection with the drilling operations.
  • Keep the Rig Manager informed about the progress, and consult him in matters of importance for a safe and efficient operation.
  • Provide on-the-job training to employees new to their roles, and work with employees to prepare them for advancement.
  • Hold Pre Job Meetings with the drilling crew before any new or difficult operation, and perform ''Job Safety Analyses''.
  • Check and maintain the drilling equipment in compliance with maintenance practices. Ensure periodic inspections of the derrick and all related equipment
Rig Mechanic/Assistant Mechanic (Offshore) -                         
  • Certificate in mechanical/automotive technology or High School diploma, aging 35 to 45 years old (24 to 35 years old for Assistant)
  • Maintenance and repair of all engines and equipment on assigned rig covering diesel engines, air compressors, pumps, draw-works and B.O.P.  Services, diagnoses faults, divert and carry out necessary repairs.

Rig Electrician/Assistant Electrician (Offshore) -
  • Certificate in Electrical Technology or High School diploma, aging 35 to 45 years old. (24 to 35 years old for Assistant)
  • Maintenance and repair of all electrical maintenance of engines and equipment on assigned rig covering caterpillar generators etc., diagnoses faults, divert and carry out necessary repairs.
Derrickman (Offshore) -
  • High School diploma, aging 24 to 35 years old.
  • Assist the Driller by maintaining all equipment related to the circulating system, as well as guiding the pipe while positioned in the derrick. Operates, monitors, and maintains all drilling fluid systems and equipment associate in drilling oil and gas wells. Directs and coordinates all work activities associated will drilling fluid systems and equipment.
Floorman (Offshore) -
  • High School diploma, aging 24 to 35 years old.
  • Handling tubular goods by manually pushing, pulling, lifting, and operating hoists and racking equipment, measurements of tubular goods using rig tape, making breaks in tubular connections using tongs, iron roughnecks, elevators and slips, heavy exertion, lifting objects ranging from 50-100 lbs. or more, visual inspection of connections, along with assisting the Derrickhand and Driller.
Slickline Operators/Supervisors -                         
  • Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • Desired Expertise: Slickline Operating, Maintenance, fishing and MWD/LWD
  • minimum Experience:  5 years

Job Description As Director of Operations :

 

  • Participate in the development and oversee the implementation of the hotel & spa operating budget.
  • Analyze financial data and operations to assist in maintaining financial objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for hotel & spa operations and ensure adherence of all SOP's in the departments.
  • Establish and continually audit all internal financial controls including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, inventories, hotel assets, master keys, etc.
  • Seek and implement process efficiencies as well as internal controls throughout the company.
  • Develop and utilize management financial reports for the benefits of hotel & spa operations.
  • Allocate funds, authorize expenditures and assist Department Heads in budget planning.
  • Develop and implement business plan and strategies to capture the niche market in conjunction with the concept of Resort.
  • Oversee all aspects of the hotel, food & beverages and spa operations including: guest relations, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, finances, food & beverages, kitchen.
  • Direct all operations of the property and ensure establishment and execution of all department goals.
  • Resolve any complaints and/or problems from guests.
  • Perform multi-task functions in order to be a problem solver.
  • Anticipate, identify, and ensure customer needs are being met.
  • Provide guidance and leadership, ensuring consistent compliance of standard operating procedures and quality customer service.
  • Implements ongoing skills training to ensure service standards are being upheld.
  • Maintain high visibility with all guests and associates.
  • *Take individual responsibility for fostering relationships with all guests with special attention to VIP's and repeat guests.

 

 

Job Description As Hotel Maintenance:

 

  • Maintain the overall operation of the maintenance department and the appearance and working order of the property.
  • Create preventive maintenance program and implement it in systematic approach.
  • Employ preventive maintenance schedules to ensure that guestrooms, public areas, mechanical, electrical, kitchen and laundry equipment are in good working order.
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs.
  • Manage, monitor and ensure working order of utility systems.
  • Review contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with vendors, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Maintain proper equipment and supply inventory and follow hotel operations procedures and communicate with the GM to ensure that orders are placed for any required equipment or supplies.
  • Ensure that standards and procedures are in place and regularly update to govern all engineering activities on site, including all aspects of asset registration, safe working practices and management of contractors.
  • Implement a clearly established opening and closing procedure with a documented checklist.
  • Perform routine maintenance throughout the property, including painting, laundry equipment, generator set, spa equipment, etc.
  • Perform maintenance and repair work on the interior and exterior of the buildings, hotel rooms and contents, laundry and kitchen/refrigeration equipment, lighting, heating/air conditioning, ventilation, water treatment systems, and spa equipment.
  • Respond to maintenance emergencies on an "on-call" basis.

 

 

 

Job Description As Executive Chef :

 

  • Plan menus considering probable number of guests, health and wellness conditions, popularity of various dishes and beverages.
  • Knowledge in preparing Continental, Italian, and Chinese cuisines, among other cuisine specialties.
  • Assign prices and costs to items on daily menus cooperating closely with GM or Accounts Department who helps plan and assign prices to articles on menus.
  • Oversee cooking - check methods of food preparation and cooking, sizes of portions, and garnishing of foods by tasting.
  • Oversee and understand the importance of the food presentation.
  • Manage Food & Beverage services in terms of restaurant and bar quality standards, staff continuous improvement, training, restaurant operations Train, and develops Chefs, Cooks, as well as restaurant & bar personnel such as waiters and bartenders.
  • Provide leadership in culinary production, operations and procurement.
  • Develop culinary team members through appropriate coaching, training and mentoring.
  • Identify and implement continuous quality improvement procedures and maintains appropriate sanitation and safety levels in all department areas.
  • Utilize culinary background and superb restaurant services to create and maintain an appealing and customer satisfying experience.

·         Assist with the overall management of all food and beverage outlets and maintain the highest levels of service and quality for F & B.

·         Assure that all standard operating procedures for F & B revenue and cost control are in place and consistently utilized.

  • Possess absolute eyes for detail and creativity and passionate about food quality.
  • Knowledgeable of market prices as they relate to food costs.
